We've been planning this trip to Seaside with Brooke & Mike for a while. And now that we're driving back I'm sad that it went by so quickly, but it was definitely fun & relaxing.
Nico was a happy camper during the drive there (and most of the drive back), which meant happy parents too.
The weather was nice (no rain!), so there were lots of walks in the beach & the promenade. And Maddie got to play in the sand.
We cooked some yummy meals, had sushi & seafood (I made ceviche de pescado), and got to try some different brews.
Aunt Marisol drove down from Ocean Park to meet Nico & it was nice to get to spend some time with her.
Nico slept very well (I think he likes his peapod tent) - at least 7 hours every night. And we got to cuddle in bed after he woke up & ate every morning, giving us all a chance to sleep in a liitle more.
All in all a good first vacation with friends as a family :)
