3 months

I know nobody is going to complain about picture-heavy posts... but I really need to get better about posting more often.

Two weekends ago, Jackie and Allison came to visit and to meet Nico. There was a lot of catching up, eating, wine tasting, and walking around. And Nico got lots of hanging out time with Jackie's mom, K :)

Nico is spending more time sitting up and checking out the world. He's also been learning to play Telefunken  with mom while sucking on his thumbs (which he recently discovered).

  

And a week ago today, he had his 3-month birthday! It's crazy how quickly this last three months have flown by!

He is such a mellow and cuddly kid. One of my favorite times of day is when we get to cuddle in the morning. He'll wake up around 5am, Matt changes him and I feed him in bed, and then he stays in bed with me for a little morning nap.

He doesn't always love tummy time, but he seems to be enjoying it more and more as his neck gets stronger and he can hold himself up for longer periods of time. When my mom was still here (probably end of April) he figured out how to roll over from tummy to back. He did it a few times and then seemed to stop, but he has started doing it again (I will post a video soon).

There seem to times when he's picky about taking a bottle, but in general he does pretty well. Matt enjoys having that time with Nico - whether he's just eating or feeling a little chatty in between bites.

Nico really likes it when we read to him, and he's starting to pay more attention to the pictures in books. He's definitely a book lover :)

And another mellow moment. Working on that thumb :) He's been drooling a lot the last couple of weeks, and with all the thumb sucking, we're wondering if teething is coming soon...
